| Question: I want to purchase a Block of Time but I do not understand how it works. How will I know how much time I have used and how much time is left?
Answer: When you purchase a Block of Time, we enter the amount into a retainer account in our accounting program. Each time you call, we come by your office or work on your project, we record the time we begin and end. For onsite visits there is a one hour mininum. For phone calls there is a 5 minute mininum. We then create an invoice describing what we did and then pay the invoice out of your retainer account. We then e-mail you a copy of the paid invoice for your records.
Question: Why can't I just call in and get the answer to a single question. Why do I need to buy a Block of Time.
Answer: We want to be your companies' IS department, to that end, we want to be sure we are staffed to handle your questions and help you as much as possible. The Blocks of Time give us the ability to plan ahead and have the adequate staffing to handle your needs.
Question: As I look around your site, I do not see a great selection of software or hardware. Why are you limiting my choices?
Answer: Since 1989 we have been working with Micro Businesses with 10 computers or less. If your company fits this description, the chances are software we offer and the hardware we offer will be what you need. Sure there are exceptions, and if you feel you need something else, please call us and we will see what we can do.
Question: My home office is in Ohio, Can you help me?
Answer: Yes we can. With our technology, we have the ability to do everything by phone and the Internet except hardware changes and installation. There may be some other situations but for the most part, if we can not fix your problem or help, we can at least educate you to the point that you can get someone in to do that part for you.
Question: You only have one computer available for me to purchase. Why only one?
Answer: This is the comuter that we have been selling ot all of our customers for the last 5 years. We have only sold two that were different. This is a workhorse computer that is reliable and setady. It is leading edge technology and not bleading edge. The price is very workable with our customers and the components are great. If you have a Block of Time with us and would like to get something else, we will work with you to help you purchase something different.
Question: My company does not fit your mold of 10 computers or less. We have 25 computers, 3 servers and 3 locations. Can you help us?
Answer: Qualified Yes. We can not be your IS department. You have needs that we can not satisfy. But we can offer software support , off site Internet backup, web site services and other services. Please, feel free to call us and we can discuss the possibilities.
Question: My web site developer has disappeared. Can you help?
Answer: Yes we can. We can gain access to your web site with your assistance and make the necessary changes. Depending on the changes and the complexity will determine the price.
Question: I want to get my E-mail when I am at my office and also when I travel. Can I do that?
Answer: Yes you can. We offer a complete E-mail package that allows you to access your E-mail from anywhere. We also check your incoming and outgoing E-mail for viruses and check your incoming E-mail for Spam.
Question: I have a home based business. Can you help me?
Answer: Absolutely! You are the type customer we work with every day. If you have any questions, call us.
Question: Can you help me get a Web Site?
Answer: Yes we can. We can help you understand all that is needed and set up everything for you.
Question: Can you help me make my computer safer for my family to use?
Answer: Yes, we have an Internet filter that can filter out all the bad web sites and still allow you to get to the sites you need.
Question: I have a unique problem - I think - and need a custom application to make my business run better and be more profitable, I have been told that this may be real expensive to develop. Can you help me understand the process and costs involved?
Answer: Yes we can. We have developed many custom applications, some are inexpensive and some more expensive. It just depends on your situation and needs. Call us and we can discuss your application.
Question: When I call for support, a lot of times, I can not understand the person I am talking to. I think they are from India. What about Micro Business Computing and Saunders Business Solutions?
Answer: We speak American English. If we are guilty of anything, it may be that we talk slow, but I am sure you will be able to understand us. Also, we do our best to use layman terms. Our support specialists are computer power users and are used to explaining things in easy to understand terms.
